Reasons why
Fire Warden training is a vital part of your Fire Safety Procedure. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRFSO) requires 'the responsible person' for fire safety to nominate a sufficient number of persons to assist in implementing the Fire Safety Procedure.
This course has been designed to meet and exceed the requirements placed upon you, the employer, under the RRFSO thus providing you peace of mind that you have covered a very important topic.
Course Content
The course will provide a
➤ brief synopsis of the requirements of the RRFSO
➤cover the role of a Fire Warden
➤liaising with local fire service
➤how a fire occurs and spreads
➤hazards of smoke inhalation
➤actions to undertake on discovering a fire
➤Fire Warden duties during an emergency evacuation
➤what fire extinguishers do what and how to use them (theory only)
➤fire safety precautions.
We will, if feasible, carry out a demo Emergency Evacuation from the building with the candidates on the course
Live fire fighting training can be arranged as part of this course.
Who Is This Course Aimed At
All designated Fire Wardens and fire safety responsible person/s or employees taking on the role of Fire Warden.
It is best that the candidate has completed some basic fire safety training but this is not essential.
Course Duration
This is a half day course which can be tailored to your needs and requirements. If you have specific extra requirements then the course may take longer. Extra time will need to be added if live fire training is to be carried out as well.
Assessment and Award
The candidates will be assessed via a test at the end of the course and all successful candidates will be awarded certification showing that they have undertaken a Fire Warden course.
